RookA voice room for your team. Encrypted, light, built for games.
Open a room, send the invite code, start talking. Voice, chat, files and screen share are end-to-end encrypted. The server never sees the content and no account is required.
What's insideNo servers to set up, nothing to configure. One code, one room.
End-to-end encrypted
Voice, chat and files are encrypted with a key only the room knows, private messages with a key only the two of you know. The server only relays ciphertext.
HD voice, noise suppression
Opus audio, RNNoise suppression and adjustable input sensitivity. Keyboard and TV noise stays out.
Screen share
1080p screen or window sharing with system audio, to the room or privately to one friend.
Chat and files
Paste a screenshot, drop a file. Messages and files are kept for 30 days, so latecomers see them too.
Friends and private messages
See who is online and in which room, invite with one click. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted and kept until both of you delete the conversation.
Effects and push-to-talk
Channel sound effects, your own clips, a push-to-talk key that works inside fullscreen games, and launch at Windows startup.

About
Who makes it
RookTalk is a product of Vienna-based secnetic GmbH, built under its Black Cat Game Labs brand with a background in cybersecurity and software engineering. Privacy first, then everything else.
The goal is simple: the voice room, chat and sharing you need for an evening of games. No ads, no tracking, no bloat.
How it works
Rooms open with an invite code made of a 6-character room code and an 8-character secret. The secret never reaches the server. Voice, chat and files are encrypted on your device with it. Servers are in Europe and retention periods are listed in the privacy policy.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can join a room as a guest with a nickname. An account carries your rooms and friends to every PC and unlocks private messages. A profile photo comes with Plus and Premium.
Does the server see my conversations?
No. Voice, chat, files and private messages are encrypted on your device. The server only holds ciphertext and the secret part of the invite code never reaches it.
How many people can talk?
Six in free rooms. Persistent rooms opened with Plus or Premium have no limit.
Why does Windows SmartScreen show a warning?
The installer is signed by secnetic GmbH. Windows may show an "unrecognized app" warning for newly published software for a while. Choose "More info" and then "Run anyway".
Is there a Mac or phone version?
Windows only for now. iOS and Android apps are in development, and a lighter version is being prepared at rooktalk.live. See the mobile page.
